Today was a pretty rainy day here in Fort Stockton. We realized today that we had gotten used to the monsoon type of rain. Guess it's time to adjust to different weather patterns again! 🙂 The light areas on the ground in the background of the photo are where all the water collected.

Texas: Welcome to our new state
With a long drive ahead of us, we left Deming around 8:30 a.m. We didn't unhook our Jeep when we pulled into our spot, so it didn't take very long to get ready to go. Welcome to Texas We stopped at the Texas Welcome Center in Anthony, Texas, right at Exit 1. While we couldn't … Continue reading Texas: Welcome to our new state
New Mexico: A night in Deming
After a night in Tucson, we headed towards New Mexico. Even though it is a 3 hour drive, we took our time. Part of our time was spent battling the wind, which meant going under the speed limit. Once we entered New Mexico, we only had another 85 miles to go. Even though it was … Continue reading New Mexico: A night in Deming
Arizona: Mesa to Congress
Yes, Congress is in Arizona, just outside of Wickenburg. 🙂 I have a doctor's appointment in Bullhead City today, but we didn't want to drive all the way there for such a short stay. We compromised and decided to go halfway, because on Saturday we'll be heading to Tucson. Leaving Mesa As we suspected when … Continue reading Arizona: Mesa to Congress

Arizona: Super windy in Bullhead City
As we wind down our time on the western side of Arizona, we visited my mother-in-law and brother-in-law in Bullhead City. We've been going to Bullhead City approximately once a week since mid-November, but this is one of our second to last visit for a long while. Super windy Because of the proximity to the … Continue reading Arizona: Super windy in Bullhead City
Arizona: Quartzsite RV Show
If you look carefully at the logo for this event, you'll see it's actually the Quartzsite Sports, Vacation and RV Show - but RVers just call it the Quartzsite RV Show. We actually attended the show in January 2017, right after we'd moved into our RV full-time as our residence. Our experience this time was … Continue reading Arizona: Quartzsite RV Show
Arizona: Brand new RV batteries installed
As we mentioned in a previous Annual Bash post, we purchased some lithium ion batteries for the RV. Our friends at Power Up RV Solar installed our batteries. Our old batteries Our old batteries were golf car batteries. As I understand it, even though we should have been getting 200 amps of usable power, our … Continue reading Arizona: Brand new RV batteries installed
Arizona: Xscapers Annual Bash, Days 8 & 9
Day 8 was a long day, and I knew that Day 9 would be light on photos, so I combined the two days together. Day 8 at the Bash Day 8 was technically the last full day at the Bash. Everything was wrapping up, and the evening was jam packed with all sorts of fun … Continue reading Arizona: Xscapers Annual Bash, Days 8 & 9
