Arizona: Pima Air and Space Museum (2014)

About a month after we moved Arizona, we took a day trip down to Tucson and checked out the Pima Air and Space Museum. We had been wanting to visit this museum for several years, as they have an outdoor exhibit dedicated to Bob’s time in the Air Force. The icing on the cake was all the other exhibits.

Blue Angels

Given how many times I’ve had the chance to photograph the Blue Angels, you’d think I would have seen the planes up close before this visit.

B17G “I’ll Be Around”

B52D Stratofortress

Corvair B-36J “Peacemaker”

Aero Spacelines B-377SG “Space Guppy”

One of the oddest shaped planes I’ve ever seen. Somewhat like a zeppelin in plane form.

Grumman HU-16A “Albatross”

Lockheed C-130A “Hercules”

Lockheed C-141A “Starlifter”

McDonnell Douglas F-15A “Eagle” Fighter

USAF Thunderbirds McDonnell Douglas F-4E “Phantom II”
