In March 2015, I heard from a local photographer in the Phoenix area that wildflowers were blooming at Bartlett Lake. We packed up our photography gear and headed over that way, about a 30-40 minute drive. Bartlett Lake was one of the first places we visited when we moved to Arizona, so it was an easy trek.
You can’t go anywhere in Arizona without encountering cacti, so there were plenty of cacti in amongst the wildflowers.
I’ve heard there is an amazing bloom of wildflowers happening right now at Bartlett Lake, but I’m in bluebonnet and azalea territory (east Texas) now. 🙂
