Texas: Sunset in Rockport

We’ve let weather get to us getting out after work, so we packed up our gear and headed on Tuesday after work. We headed to a location I had scouted earlier this week, the north end of the Copano Causeway. There’s an old fishing pier that makes a great viewpoint for sunset.

It wasn’t until I zoomed in that I realized there was a line of wind turbines in front of the sunset.

The sun is halfway down, and not only are there wind turbines, but I caught a plane flying by (near the top of the photo).

Sun is almost down, and if you look really closely, you can see the outlines of the wind turbines.

A closer look at the wind turbines, with the sun almost down.

We have several more locations to capture sunset from in Rockport, and you can be sure you’ll see more before we leave the area.
