Arizona: Xscapers Annual Bash, Days 5 & 6

Day 5 at the Bash

There’s not much to say about Day 5. We got up before dawn, unlocked the security gate, and headed to Bullhead City for some appointments. Because the appointments were at 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., we spent most of the day at my mother-in-law’s place working. We arrived back during the “lot crawl” and pretty much hunkered down for the night.

Day 6 at the Bash

We had some goals for Day 6. The folks from BattleBorn Batteries were supposed to be on-site, and we wanted to place an order. We also wanted to attend one of the day’s seminars on mobile Internet.

While we were looking for the BattleBorn reps, we walked around a bit and checked out the other areas.

Success! We ordered four batteries and snagged a couple of beanies and stickers.

It’s a good thing we ordered too – our batteries (purchased in August) are already dying. We are limping along here at the Bash, but as soon as the Bash is done, those batteries are being installed. This is what we ordered: 100Ah 12V LiFePO4 Deep Cycle batteries. This should (hopefully) fix our issues with power and minimize our use of the generator.

After ordering our batteries, we took a break before the afternoon seminar on mobile Internet.

It was an informative session. We’re looking forward to hearing more about 5G and low earth orbit satellite Internet in the next year.
