2019: My #7 photo from 2019

My #7 photo this year just got published in a kids’ magazine. Here’s #7!

Photo #7

The backstory

I was having an issue with my Surface Book 2, so I made an appointment at the Microsoft Store in downtown Portland. I figured I might have a chance to get some lunchtime Pioneer Courthouse Square photos, so I brought an old DSLR and one lens in my backpack. Turns out, the Festival of Flowers was going on (you can see the flowers lined up on the bricks and steps to the top right), but they also had an art installation by Larry Yes going on.

I couldn’t resist such a colorful painted display. Fortunately, my camera/lens combo was up to the task. Patience was necessary for this photo too, waiting for passersby to get out of the frame.
