Arizona: Birds at the Desert Botanical Garden

When we went with our xScapers friend to the Desert Botanical Garden last week, we knew we wanted to come back for the Sunday member hour. Bob saw my photos from the Fine Family Contemplation Garden and wanted to spend some time there.

While Bob did his video thing, I stayed out of the way and took photos of birds in the same area.

Hummingbirds

It’s always difficult to catch hummingbirds in flight, but I was close enough to get a couple of good shots. All of these photos are seriously cropped from the original photo.

But the hummingbirds weren’t the only birds taking advantage of the water.

Cactus wrens and other birds

All in all, it was a great time at the Desert Botanical Garden – the beauty of having a membership is that we can focus on one section at a time and come back again.
