New Mexico: Balloon Fiesta is here!

Last night, we attended the media welcome reception in the Media Center tent. Pretty cool (rather, spicy hot) New Mexican food and some great conversation. After we ate and drank our fill, we headed out to get some sunset photos at the launch field. Plus, I got a bonus photo on the way back to the RV!

We strolled down the walkway and stopped right behind the Sid Cutter Pilots’ Pavilion.

Then we set up on the launch field, looking towards the Gondola Club and the tents.

And of course, there were some pretty cool cloud formations with the sunset colors.

On the way back to our RV spot, we drove by Red Gate 30, which has the word Fiesta above the gate. It was lit up for the first time since we arrived, so I got a bonus photo.

By the time this post is published, we’ll be out and about on the launch field, taking photos and video. Can’t wait to share my favorite photos over the next 9 days!
