Utah: Sunrise in Cedar Breaks National Monument

This is our last weekend in Utah, so we decided to head to Cedar Breaks National Monument again, but for sunrise. Last time we went to Cedar Breaks, it was during our day trip excursion to Bryce Canyon. Considering the crowds are much smaller in comparison to Bryce Canyon, we thought we might have the place all to ourselves for sunrise.

We were right. From 5:30 – 7:30 a.m., there was no one but us at the Point Supreme overlook. There were a few folks between 7:30 – 8:30 a.m., but only the intrepid hikers who wanted to get an early start.

While some folks would leave after getting sunrise, I wanted to see the light as it lit up the canyon and the hoodoos.

After we were done catching sunrise and the light in the canyon, we headed for the North View overlook. We missed this overlook on our last trip, but we made a point to see it this time.
