We liked doing the sunrise photos at Bryce Canyon National Park so much, we decided to do it again, but much closer to home. It meant that we could sleep in a little later and only have a 45 minute drive.
We headed to Kolob Canyons, which is in the northwest corner of Zion National Park, and drove all the way to the end of the scenic drive. This viewpoint also has the Timber Creek Overlook trail, but there were only a couple of folks driving in to do the trail Sunday morning. In other words, we had the overlook area all to ourselves. No jockeying for position with other photographers, just us.
It was worth it!
