We left the Lone Tree dispersed camping area north of Lake Havasu City this morning and headed towards Las Vegas, Nevada. We are attending the George Strait concert on December 7, so it was the perfect time to check out Government Wash at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
First, we parked at the boat launch parking area and disconnected the Jeep.
Then we drove the Jeep around the area and determined our top 3 spots. Then we drove back to the RV, drove it down to our preferred spot, and set up.
Looking towards the east is Las Vegas Bay.
Sunset was pretty early, but it was pretty cool with some awesome colors.
We’re looking forward to capturing some amazing sunrises and sunsets here. The plan is to be here a week, and head out on Monday, December 9th.
