Just to the east of the Phoenix is a popular park for hiking, Lost Dutchman State Park. There is some amazing scenery here, and you could spend an entire day just hiking and taking photographs.

During the late fall and winter months, the weather is perfect for heading to the area, but if you are going to hike for any length of time, don’t forget to bring water, sunscreen, and a hat. Use your Arizona State Parks pass for admission, or pay per car. Fees may be higher on weekends and holidays, especially during the winter months with seasonal visitors.
