When we looked at the weather a couple of days ago, we noticed a potential issue. The weather in Logan, NM on Thursday is supposed to be a high of 43 degrees and a low of 26 degrees, with rain in the forecast. That’s not good news for us. We need to be in Albuquerque on Friday, so I can fly out of the Albuquerque airport very early on Saturday morning.
We made the decision to pull out of Logan today, ahead of any icy/snowy/freezing rain weather. We’d rather arrive two days earlier at a leisurely pace than worry about driving after nasty weather conditions.
We’ll arrive before mid-afternoon, and get settled in comfortably. I’ll be heading to Portland for the LavaCon conference on Saturday as the official photographer.
Glad to know you made it safely to Albuquerque. Safe travels to Lavacon.
