Well, we drove to and from Amarillo today to do some errands, but we also took our cameras – just in case we had time to visit the Cadillac Ranch!
Cadillac Ranch is an art installation that invites folks to visit and interact by spray painting the 10 Cadillacs buried there. This is the second time we’ve visited, and it is all but impossible to view without other people. Now, with patience, you can get photos without people. 😀
Front view
All 10 Cadillacs lined up, with no people! 🙂The sun on this one caught my eye.The Cadillac paint never stays the same. I’m pretty sure this one was different by the time I left. This particular Cadillac had a lot of names on it.If you look carefully at this Cadillac, you’ll see a smiley face in the top right corner.Lots of times, there is evidence that way too much fresh spray paint is slowly rolling down the hood of the car.The sparkly gold on this Cadillac caught my eye.
Rear view
Sometimes, the spray paint on the rear of the car is more interesting than the front.
Really cool to see the back of these Cadillacs. This looks like a bent over stick figure man with his head down. What do you think?Clearly, someone is ready for the “IT 2” movie this Halloween.
Side view
Even the side view, with the sky as a beautiful background, is pretty interesting.
Someone was very patient painting this Cadillac – a lot of paint was required to make the depth so they could make a smiley face. The clouds and sunshine make these Cadillac fins shine.Close up of the side view of this Cadillac, with the headlight casing sticking up.It was great that the weather cooperated with some white fluffy clouds to add drama in the background for this Cadillac.
