New Mexico: D.H. Lescombes Winery and Bistro

We went to the D.H. Lescombes Winery and Bistro, formerly known as St. Clair Winery, with a good sized group of convergence attendees. Since it was Friday night, they had live music, and wine tasting flights for a few bucks.

Live music

Chris Baker was the live music performance. He was pretty good, and did a few standards we could recognize: Travis Tritt’s “Great day to be alive” and Garth Brooks’ “Thunder Rolls”.

Winery grounds

It’s always fun to see the winery grounds.

We had an interesting time trying to eat outside on the lawn, due to some pretty high winds and a storm that was moving south of the winery.

So we went inside to eat and let the wind die down a bit.

Inside the winery

Though the inside area is a lot smaller than the grounds, it had a pretty cool interior. I preferred black and white for these photos.

We had a great time with all of our new friends, but we did leave a little early so we could get some sleep. On Saturday, we’ll be at the Elephant Butte Balloon Regatta in Elephant Butte, New Mexico.
